Wrestling Birthday

These cookies were made for a Golden Eagle wrestler's 7th Birthday.  I tried a new technique with these cookies.  I used a clear sheet with a template underneath to pipe the wrestler onto.  This way I could make them all the same with out having to free hand them.  It worked for about half of the cookies.... the arms and legs were so delicate they kept wanting to break at the limbs when transferring from the clear sheet to the cookie.  So went back to free hand for the other half.  What would be really nice is a KopyCake.  It is a small projector that projects the image onto the cookie.  Then you can pipe the image very easily.  Maybe I'll ask Santa for one! :)

Well next post will be all about Valentines!  I have more than enough cookies to keep me busy!

Valentines Cookies

Brushed Embroidery and Tufted Cookies
I love the look of these... so romantic. :)

After making these it got me thinking of all the ways to use this.  Wether to replicate a lace pattern in a dress or create delicate butterfly wings.
I love the button cookies too!

Randomness

Again I apologize for the terrible pics.

Pink camo shower cookies
These went to a baby shower.

                                       Princess Olivia
My mom and dad took these up with them to visit my brother and his family.  While there they celebrated my nieces first birthday.

The Snoopy How-To

As with all my cookies they are free hand so each one is slightly different.  But I was really pleased with how these turned out.  these cookies were made for a baby shower and matched the babies crib bedding.
First I drew circles the size of my cutter on paper to draw the images and get a feel for the spacing etc.  Then I went to work on the cookies.  First I pipe on the outline of the character.  By doing the black first and allowing it to dry some, it prevented the black from bleeding into the white.
 Next goes the white
Here is a pick of all the different snoopy faces in progress

Woodstock

After the white (or yellow in woodstock's case) had some time to dry I added the faces and snoopy's collar.
Next comes the background color.  After piping on the background, I let it dry for a bit then put on the last details such as the stiching and the phrases.  All the small details really make it complete.

Cookie Bites!!!

For Christmas 2 years ago a very sweet friend of mine ordered these mason jars filled with bite size Christmas cookies to give to the teachers at my daughters school.

Saw 'em off!!! Gig 'em Ags!!!

These Longhorns were for a very dear friend of mine (she would have to be a special person to get this Aggie to make Longhorn cookies!)  Of course I didn't own a longhorn cookie cutter so I made a stencil and cut out these cookies by hand for her.  What got me though was making the maroon longhorn with his horns sawed off ;)  Difficult to see in this photo but the horns are hanging by ribbons to the rest of the cookie. Oh and by the way I have since purchased a longhorn cookie cutter.

Scarecrows
Had a great time making these guys.  It's a terrible picture (as you have probably figured out, photography is not a skill I possess)

Princess Party Favors
A sweet friend of mine here in Colorado gave these cookies out as party favors for her daughters birthday.

Whooooo Whooooo

These I made for my kids at Halloween.  I love owls!  Something about those big eyes are just so stinkin cute!

Broncos

I made these up for a Bronco Football game/ sunday school social.  I used the same technique as with the snoopy cookies in another post.  First I piped on the white bronco head then quickly added the details like eye and brow etc before the white dried.  Then went in with the orange for the mane and last with the blue background.  And yes it was all free handed.  If you look closely they are all slightly different.
